چکیده

Background: To prevent the losses caused by brucellosis, development of diagnostic tools for differentiating vaccinated cattle from infected one is priority in eradication disease. The present study was undertaken differential identification Brucella abortus vaccine strain S19 EryC PCR. Methods: In this study, 1145 clinical samples unvaccinated and buffaloes (200 blood samples, 710 sera, 190 vaginal swabs, 20 abomasal contents foetus, 25 foetal tissues) 146 animals were collected dairy farms around Mumbai Pune region. These processed isolation organisms further characterized Result: PCR yielded amplicon 1257 bp B. 544, melitensis Rev1, all field isolates, 67 23 tissue 80 (40%) 21 animals. Only two out showed 555 bp. developed during found useful wild type strains also effective when tried on reference samples.

Comparison Between Protective Immunity Induced by gamma-Irradiated Brucella abortus Field Strain and Commercial Brucella abortus Strain 19 in Mice

Brucellosis is an important zoonotic disease of nearly worldwide distribution. Despite the availability of live vaccine strains for bovine (S19 and RB51) and (Rev-1) for small ruminants but they have several drawbacks including residual virulence. So, in this study, gamma irradiated Brucella abortus vaccine prepared from an Egyptian field isolate was evaluated as a safe, stable and protective v...

Cytokine responses in camels (Camelus bactrianus) vaccinated with Brucella abortus strain 19 vaccine.

In the present study, we determined the levels of cytokines produced by camel (Camelus bactrianus) peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) in response to live attenuated Brucella abortus (B. abortus) S19 vaccine. Seven camels were vaccinated with commercial B. abortus S19 vaccine, and their cytokine responses were determined using a real-time PCR assay. Cytokine responses to B. abortus S19 w...

Validation of the abbreviated Brucella AMOS PCR as a rapid screening method for differentiation of Brucella abortus field strain isolates and the vaccine strains, 19 and RB51.

The Brucella AMOS PCR assay was previously developed to identify and differentiate specific Brucella species. In this study, an abbreviated Brucella AMOS PCR test was evaluated to determine its accuracy in differentiating Brucella abortus into three categories: field strains, vaccine strain 19 (S19), and vaccine strain RB51/parent strain 2308 (S2308). Two hundred thirty-one isolates were identi...

The unexpected discovery of Brucella abortus Buck 19 vaccine in goats from 1 Ecuador underlines

27 Very few, mostly old and only preliminary serological studies of brucellosis in goats exist 28 in Ecuador. In order to assess the current epidemiological situation, we performed a cross29 sectional serological study in the goat populations of Carchi (n=160 animals), Pichincha 30 (n=224 animals), and Loja provinces (n=2,024 animals). Only two positive serological 31 results (RB negative and S...

MLVA Genotyping of Brucella melitensis and Brucella abortus Isolates from Different Animal Species and Humans and Identification of Brucella suis Vaccine Strain S2 from Cattle in China

In China, brucellosis is an endemic disease and the main sources of brucellosis in animals and humans are infected sheep, cattle and swine. Brucella melitensis (biovars 1 and 3) is the predominant species, associated with sporadic cases and outbreak in humans. Isolates of B. abortus, primarily biovars 1 and 3, and B. suis biovars 1 and 3 are also associated with sporadic human brucellosis. In t...
